In this study we aimed to use relatively extensive historical published and unpublished literature, and recent field tests on insecticide resistance in Anopheles gambiae s.l. mosquitoes, to investigate whether over the last 20 years in Côte d’Ivoire: (1) insecticide resistance has increased; (2) whether any trends are consistent across insecticides and ecological zones; (3) multiple insecticide resistance (across insecticide classes) has increased.
