A method of curing a latex film comprising the steps of forming a film from a latex compound having a rubber material and a curing system comprising organic peroxide at about 0.1 to about 5.0 phr, a combination comprising sodium lauryl sulfate and sulfated methyl oleate at about 0.1 to about 5.0 phr, and zinc 2-mercaptotoluimidazole at about 0.1 to about 5.0 phr, and heating the film for about 6 peroxide half-lives to about 10 peroxide half-lives in an open air system.

The present invention is very useful for peroxide curing in that it makes it commercially feasible to cure latex films. For dip-molded parts that do not contain peroxides, the present invention is also useful.
